Starting school is an exciting time for families and children as our youngest citizens take early steps on their journey through education and on to the rest of their lives.
The Enrolment Process
During 2023, if your child turns five years of age after 1 May, they will start school in Term 1 of 2024.
A mid-year intake will start in schools from Term 3 2024 for students turning five years of age from 1 May to 31 October 2024.
Students turning five years of age after 1 November 2024 will start school in Term 1 of the following year.
Students who start school through a mid-year intake will complete 6 terms of reception.
The enrolment process includes information sessions, school tours and interviews for students and their families as they prepare to start school.
